March 15th 2010 - Air General opens Chicago with British Airways, an important new location

British Airways chose Air General as the cargo handler for one of their most important North American locations, Chicago, IL. The transition to Air General handling on March 15th 2010 could not have gone more smoothly thanks to the British Airways staff that came on board at Air General and to the Air General transition team. Air General is excited to now be located at the nations busiest airport and looks forward to working with the Chicago air cargo community.

November 2008 - US Airways Presents 2008 "Cargo Handling Partner of the Year" award to Air General.

During a US Airways Customer Appreciation Day at Charlotte (CLT), Air General was presented with the "Cargo Handling Partner of the Year" award for 2008. The award reads "in appreciation for your significant contribution to US Airways". Air General and US Airways have enjoyed a strong and successful partnership for nearly 10 years in 11 US locations. This is very exciting news for Air General and comes on the heels of the Northwest Airlines "2007 Strategic Partner Award", thanking us for our excellent performance in 2007. These successes and awards would not be possible if it were not for the hard work, positive contributions and dedication of Air General employees out in the field.

June 2008 - Air General Launches Learning Management System.

The Air General, Air Cargo Academy Learning Management (LMS) system has gone live! The Air Cargo Academy will enhance the training of all Air General cargo professionals as well as ensuring that Air General's always be in compliance with the latest requirements.

May 2008 - Visit to Capitol Hill

Air General sent a delegation of senior executives to Washington D.C., Capitol Hill to lobby members of the Senate and of Congress on behalf of the air cargo community about the increased TSA regulations.

March 2008 - Air General is the Northwest Cargo Strategic Partner for 2007

Air General was presented with the Northwest Cargo Strategic Partner Award for 2007. Air General is honored to accept such a prestigious award from a valued customer. Northwest and Air General are partners in 9 US locations. This award is presented to only one cargo handling company annually for providing exceptional cargo service delivery in all locations.

December 2007 - Google Apps Collaboration platform launched for Air General

Air General completed the company wide transition to Google Apps as part of the new IT focus initiative. With this move, Air General will be better able to communicate and collaborate across our 17 locations.

November 2007 - Air General welcomes Southwest and Aer Lingus at IAD

November 2007 � At the Lufthansa IAD Washington Dulles cargo facility, Air General begin cargo handling for Southwest and Aer Lingus.

October 2007 - Air General and Aer Lingus at MCO

Air General is pleased to announce that we have been awarded the cargo handling contract for Aer Lingus at Orlando MCO. Aer Lingus is a welcom addition to the MCO operation and the Air General family.

August 2007 - Goodbye EWR Newark, NJ

In an effort to strengthen the Air General cargo handling system, Air General made the difficult decision to sell the Newark cargo handling operation to another cargo handling company at the airport.
